Brooklyn-Papaya is Jeen Lee’s building renovation log.

Her renovation adventure started in 2014 when Jeen and her husband purchased a three-family brick house in Brooklyn, NY. They were entering a dark ocean without any knowledge but were excited that they could create their home on a clean canvas.

After 18 months of gut renovation, the house came out beautifully. While Jeen found renovating old houses very rewarding and fun, she didn’t expect another project in the near future, but she soon found a second opportunity in 2017.

The second house was a three-family brownstone which suffered serious damage from a fire caused by the building next door. Working with the same team from their first project, Jeen was able to create another beautiful home.

Her latest project involved renovating an apartment in a landmark building (built in 1844) in Brooklyn Heights, NY.

Jeen takes pride in renovating beautiful houses with attention to detail in every corner. She specializes in old buildings and optimizing small spaces for versatile use.

With a background in the arts, Jeen excels in the Visual Effect industry as an artist and VFX supervisor on shoot for commercials and TV shows, clients including Netflix, Apple, Mercedes-Benz, MAC Cosmetics, Snickers, and more. Her strong leadership skills, combined with a commitment to meeting deadlines while maintaining quality, have led her team to success.

She is presently engaged as a contract artist in the VFX industry and is pursuing opportunities to transition her passion into expertise in space design and development. For Jeen, renovating space is addicting and makes her heart sing. It is thrilling to see a dead space come alive again and recover its glory through her visions.

Jeen is interested in hearing and open to collaborating on projects.
